Portrait & Fine Art Photographer

Portrait photography, also called portraiture, is the art of capturing a subject (a person or a group of people). As a portrait photographer it's all about celebrating beauty & capturing the human and may be even capturing your soul to help ensure I capture the real person.

Headshots for Business, Actors & Social Media are a type of Portrait but where emphasis is from mid chest / shoulders up with a goal of presenting someone to be approachable, confident and with a polished look.

Although I no longer advertise that I capture Weddings I am always happy to capture a ' Pre-Wedding ' shoot in the UK and utilise my 15 years experience with shooting weddings and pre-weddings, with the location of your choice.

Backgrounds may vary depending on my clients requirements, in that I can shoot on Location, Outside or in a Studio. A popular choice with many clients is a plain background within a studio setting. This is ideal for most traditional portraits / headshots because it allows me to isolate my client from the background using lighting techniques and to eliminate any distracting background elements.

Lighting a portrait for my clients is one of the most crucial aspects of their portrait photography as different lighting setups can create a whole different attitude/emotion to their portrait BUT you don't have to worry as I will take care of all of that, leaving you to be the most wonderful you.

I also plan to focus more on the Art or Fine Art aspects of Portrait Photography - Any image I capture has the possibility of having extended editing applied with a Fine Art finish being included, making the image even more special and even more spectacular to hang on your wall.  If you have a project you would like my help with please just contact me - I would love to speak to you. x
